In Matthew 22:37-38, Jesus says, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command.” And Romans 12:1 says to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.Everything we do in this life is an act of worship. The House points people to cultivate their relationship with God which inspires and directs them into righteous obedience – thus bringing glory to God.
In Matthew 22:37-40, Jesus says, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.” Overflowing out of our love for God springs our love for others.
Jesus lived a life as a selfless servant. Our purpose at The House to “Serve Others” is drawn from His personal mission statement for His earthly ministry in Matthew 20:28: “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” By serving others we imitate the life and heart of our Lord Jesus.
SEEK THE LOST
The heart of God for those who are lost is revealed in Matthew 18:12-14: “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away! In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish.”We seek the lost because God loves them and because Jesus has commissioned us to help those who find eternal life to obey all of his teachings (Matt 28:18-20).

I moved down to Fort Myers from Atlanta in August, 2011 to join the staff at First Assembly as the Collegiate Ministries Pastor with my amazing wife Shawn and our four incredible children. Initially, I began to work with the students involved in the Chi Alpha campus ministries at Edison State College and Florida Gulf Coast University. Partnering with Pastor Alex and The House, we were seeing student’s grow in their relationship with God, transformed by the power of the gospel. In July of 2013, I took over leadership of The House - College and Career ministry and we have seen God’s hand at work in the lives of men and women here. My heart is to equip men and women to glorify God in every aspect of their lives. From their relationships, to their academic and professional pursuits, in the use of their talents, to the application of the Word of God in each decision that they make, the joy of my life is to see people display the love and wisdom of Jesus. I am excited to be a part of God’s plan to help develop each person into a righteous son or daughter here at The House!

I couldn't be happier to be working with The House and Chi Alpha! I graduated from Lee University in 2015 with an Intercultural Studies Degree and now serve as the office administrator. I love seeing my hard work planning events pay off when students' lives are changed and people come to Christ.
